Brad and Colleen Johansen wanted to help create meaningful, sustaining life change for the people in their city. In 2005, they heard about OneCity, a non-profit that creates opportunities for mentors and participants across such key segments as education, chronic unemployment and poverty to achieve this, and they decided to join forces.
Soon, their celebrity golf tournament was born, but never could they have imagined the magnitude of the impact their efforts would ultimately have on the Cincinnati area! Now in our seventh year, well over a million dollars has been raised, and $1,000,000 has gone directly to multiple life-changing initiatives. Three other charities have also benefited — Cancer Free Kids, Neediest Kids of All, and CityLink Center.
This year and for the fourth straight year, the OneCity Pro-Am (held on June 24-25, 2012) will include Professional golfers as well as local celebrities at the beautiful Triple Crown Country Club in Union, KY and it was a huge success!!
